WATERLOO House Surgery in Millom has opened the doors to it’s new extension.

The ongoing renovations of the building have involved the fitting of a brand new extension with a new reception and four new patient suites to improve the doctors surgery.

Work on the surgery will not finish for a few more months as contractors are now hard at work on renovating the old segment of the building.

Once work is completed the wall between the new extension and the old building will be knocked through to open the surgery up to it’s new full size.

Once work is completed, the ambulance service will be moving into the building along with a brand new physiotherapy unit.

Currently the nearest ambulance station is in Ulverston, so the new station will relieve pressure from other services who currently have to travel into Millom from elsewhere.
