TWISTED Wheel's irrepressible energy and ability to deliver inspired rock 'n' roll has landed them support slots with Oasis, Kasabian, Paul Weller, The Courteeners, The Happy Mondays and Ian Brown to name but a few, as well as sell-outs on their first UK tour.

The unlikely combination of elegance and raw inspiration, the familiar coupled with the random, make Twisted Wheel an undeniably popular act that delivers the goods in a way few bands can.

Following on from Twisted Wheel's recent physical chart number one hit with the new EP Jonny Guitar, an almost sold-out Snakes and Ladders tour and successful support slots with Liam Gallagher, the four lads from Oldham are revving up for the road again, this time with the Jonny Guitar tour and playing Whitehaven's Yellow Earl on November 2.

Born in the backwaters of Saddleworth in 2008, the young band, fronted by Jonny Brown, roared into the race of indie rock with such anthems as Oh What Have You Done, She's a Weapon, Lucy The Castle and You Stole the Sun.

The fierce ascent has been driven by a swelling of new and old fans across the UK and beyond, further boosted by the recent digital download release.

Jonny Guitar was created 1990s style, on a shoestring in Manchester and is a work of art, sweat and guts as well as cunning charm offensive.

The band's show will include favourites from previous albums, songs from the new EP and possibly a couple of tunes from the new album.

With a multitude of subtle influences for the more precise, Twisted Wheel's real strength is in its ability to pound out genuine songs that really are the backbone of rock 'n' roll.

Twisted Wheel's Jonny Guitar EP is available on CD, iTunes, Spotify and other streaming services.
