Cumbria County Council, along with various NHS organisations, are working together to support this year’s joint Stay Well This Winter campaign.
Residents in Cumbria who are the most vulnerable to flu are being urged to get their free flu vaccination,.
This year's vaccination programme is now available across Cumbria to all eligible people ahead of winter.
The Stay Well This Winter campaign will help the most vulnerable people in the county and avoid hospital visits for winter illnesses.
The scheme will target all children aged 10 and under.
School children in reception and school years one to five will receive it in school.
Other individuals who are urged to take the free flu vaccination are pregnant women.
Those aged 65 years and over and in residential homes are advised to get the jab.
