A RESIDENT has criticised a motorist who left their car parked on a corner and on the pavement "all day".
The Volkswagen Golf was spotted parked at the bottom of Lightburn Road in Ulverston by the junction with Chapel Street.
The disgusted resident who spotted the offending vehicle said "it was there all day" and was not displaying a disabled badge.
They added: "It's chaotic around these streets on a daily basis and cars regularly park in this fashion at this point. People just totally ignore the law and its just a case of 'I want, I will' and sod anyone caused inconvenience or traffic flow problems created."
Cumbria County Council is responsible for enforcing on-street parking.
In a statement a spokesman said: "We’d urge people to park considerately and respectfully, and to familiarise themselves with street signage and road markings. There is no excuse to park inconsiderately or dangerously. Poor parking can create a blind spot or obstruct other drivers’ lines of sight, especially near junctions.
“Any vehicles which are parked over a zig zag crossing outside schools will receive an instant ticket. By highlighting these issues and asking motorists to be more considerate, we hope the need for further enforcement can be avoided."
