A TRAFFIC backlog has been caused in Broughton after a forklift fell off the back of a lorry.
Motorists heading along the A595 from Kirkby to Brought have been stuck in delays after the incident at Duddon bridge.
Police were called at 8.40am to the forklift, which was blocking the bridge.
One driver said: "There was two police vans at the traffic lights at Duddon Bridge surrounding what looked like to be a piece of machinery in the road.
"It looks as thought it could possibly have fallen from the back of a lorry.
"I have been queuing for more than 20 minutes."
The forklift was moved by around 9.10am to allow traffic through. No injuries were reported.
