THE creative work of dozens of local artists went on display over the weekend.
The Ulverston Society of Artist Charter Exhibition attracted a steady stream of visitors to the Supper Room at the town’s Coronation Hall.
Members of this long-running group displayed their latest works, with the majority of pieces also on sale.
Currently, the society has more than 50 members, ranging from beginners to professional artists.
Exhibitions of members’ work are held annually in the Spring and in September.
The September exhibition coincides with Ulverston Charter Week and a shorter exhibition takes place over the Dickensian Weekend in November.
Further events include an exhibition on October 8 about Phil Hobbs’ book on Venice and the trials and tribulations of self-publishing.
November 23 is the Dickensian Exhibition Hanging Day between 1pm and 1.30pm at the Coronation Hall.
