KIDS on the Bay, the youth drama section of Storth Entertainers, is back on stage with its latest show The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Adapted from the CS Lewis’ novel by Glyn Robbins, the production runs at Storth Village Hall from Thursday until Saturday, October 4-6. KOTB was founded in 2003 by the late and highly respected director of the Entertainers Mike Cooper and led by Mike until illness forced him to hand over the reins in 2011. Since then the group has been directed by Alan and Sue Gardner. Previous shows have included family favourites such as Annie and Alice in Wonderland, the musical The Wizard of Oz and adaptations of classics as Toad of Toad Hall and The Jungle Book.

Cast members range in age from 10-14 and Alan and Sue say the talented youngsters have adapted well to performing in the confined space of the village hall. "We wanted three separate but linked acting areas to represent the Professor’s house, the centre of Narnia and key Narnian places such as Mr Tumnus’ house.

"Put in a wardrobe, a stone table and four rows of tiered seating and despite an open stage the acting area becomes rather limited. Indeed, the audience will almost feel as though they are in Narnia itself."

Performances start at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from the box office on 015395-61565 or by emailing storth.ents@gmail.com.
