A drug dealer who was caught on police dashcam flipping his BMW after crashing at 80mph has been jailed for five years.

Dwaine Lewis, 28, was being chased by cops when he lost control of his black BMW on a sharp bend.

Dramatic police dashcam footage shows the moment Lewis’ car rolls onto his roof following the crash on January 28 last year.

Lewis escaped with minor injuries but police found 42g of cocaine in the car with a street value of between £3,000 and £4,000.

His smartphone also showed conversations related to drug dealing.

He was convicted of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply and admitted dangerous driving at Stafford Crown Court.

Lewis, of Wolverhampton, was jailed for five years.

PC Matthew Burns, from the Central Motorway Police Group, said: "The reckless driving displayed by Lewis could have very easily killed or seriously hurt an innocent bystander and he was lucky to escape with minor injuries.

“We will always do all we can to disrupt those that drive dangerously and use our roads for criminal means."
