WHEN childhood sweethearts Charlotte and Michael met at school little did they imagine 16 years later they would be stood in front of their family and friends ready to marry.

Charlotte Hannah, a Maths teacher at Barrow's St Bernard's Catholic High School and husband Michael While, a supervisor at Walney Wind Farm met in the first year of Parkview High School.

And after becoming a couple in 2010, the pair became in separable.

Charlotte, 27, of Undergreens Road, Barrow described the couple's romantic journey.

She said: "We met in Year 7 at Parkview School, we were in the same form group. We stayed close friends through school until we got together in 2010.

"The proposal happened hen we went on a trip to Reykjavik, Iceland for New Year. Michael proposed shortly after midnight on New Year Eve just into the start of 2016."

The couple both went to Dublin on separate weekends with about 20 of their closest friends before tying the knot at The Villa Levens on July 28 in front of 103 family and friends.

The beautiful bride wore a Pronovias dress and veil from Fellside Brides in Kendal and a headpiece from Ivory and Co. He hair was styled by Lizzie at CoCo and her make up was done by Charlotte Benson.

The best men were the grooms closest friends Jamie Underwood and Grant McKenna.

While Robert While, Paul Hannah, Sean Balfour and Nathan Collett were all groomsmen helped by page boy Charlie Taylor.

The groom wore a suit from Moss Bros, while the groomsmen's suits came from ASOS.

The beautiful bridesmaids were close friends of the bride Yasmin Kelly, Lauren Bayliss, Hannah Millard and Steph Taylor. they all wore dresses from Adrianna Papell.

Little Matilda Taylor also joined in the happy celebrations as a flower girl with a dress from Monsoon.

The bride's wedding ring was gold with diamonds inset to the band from Banks Lyon in Lancaster.

The flowers including table decorations and bouquets were provided by Posh Flowers in Barrow and the favours were the couple's favourite Tequila shots.

The couple had not just one cake but two - the first by Sugar Pie with tiers of salted caramel, vanilla and lemon, while the second was a pork pie cake by Higginson’s of Grange.

The couple also had their first dance to Drops of Jupiter by Train before heading off on a luxury honeymoon with four days in Dubai and 10 days in Bali.
