Two men have taken on stage six of the Tour of Britain days before the professional riders race through Barrow.
Phil Jones and James Golding have been cycling the full 1,136km Tour of Britain Route in a bid to raise £50,000 for the Dave Rayner Fund, a trust set up to help promising riders fulfil their potential as professional cyclists.
Mr Jones said: “ If we can get 10,000 people to donate just £5 then we’ll have hit our £50,000 target.
“It’s definitely achievable if we all pull together for the future of the sport.”
