The day will be opened by Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron and kicks off at 10am, with the Carnforth Country Market, Cumbrian business stalls and a live broadcast from Bay Radio.

The fun will continue throughout the day with a barbecue, a sample of classes starting at LIFE in September and informative sports orientated information sessions.

One of LIFE’s associate business partners, Herbalife, will be there giving weight loss and sports nutrition advice and Body Rehab will offer a seminar on sports injury prevention and caring for your back.

LIFE will also offer informative sessions on swimming programmes through themselves and Troutbeck Bridge Amateur Swimming Club.

LIFE members will give a sample of new classes available from next month, including boot camp, a fun and motivational group personal training class based on military and sport-related exercises.

There will be fun activities for all ages with prizes from LIFE’s sponsors up for grabs, including the family fun relay and ‘Its a knockout’ in the pool.

Also in the pool will be Aquatone, a group exercise class that provides strength and tone, Learn to Dive and Kids Aqua Fun.

Also on the list of new classes is Fit and Fifty, a low impact class aimed at both the young and the young at heart and Spin, a high intensity cardio workout.

LIFE is located on the Windermere Road at Troutbeck Bridge, next to the Lakes School.

The company was given a £104,000 grant from South Lakeland District Council over three years in July.

A loan of £60,000, paid to the previous operator before it went into administration in April, was also written off.
