Council launches housing guide

A NEW housing guide has been launched by Copeland Borough Council to give advice and information.
The Housing Needs Service Directory showcases the range of housing services available in Copeland by different agencies, including advice services, services for young people, older people, disabled people, and many others.
Councillor George Clements, deputy leader for housing services, said: “This guide will provide essential information for any agency that’s involved in helping people to access housing aid and advice services in the borough.
“It provides not only information on the council’s services but also those available from other agencies in this area.
“The guide contains information on support services, including for people experiencing domestic violence, to ensure it is a complete information source on housing related issues.”
The guide will be available to referral agencies by calling Copeland Council on 0845 054 8600.
It will also be sent to public libraries and doctors’ surgeries in the borough.
