How can you help to clean up the beach

ECO-FRIENDLY Furness folk are invited to join in a beach clean this weekend.
The event is part of a string of clean-ups taking place across beaches in the Morecambe Bay area throughout this year. So far, volunteers have helped to remove more than five tonnes of litter from several different beaches.
The clean-up will take place from 10am until midday on Saturday. The group will meet on the National Trust car park next to Roanhead.
Everyone is welcome to join the beach clean but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Equipment will be provided by South Cumbria Beach Care group but volunteers are asked to wear suitable clothing for the event.
