Fun for all on bank holiday Monday

A FREE family fun day is taking place at Roosegate Community Centre, Longway this Bank Holiday Monday.

There will be plenty for everyone to enjoy, including a bouncy castle, gladiator jousting, disco, refreshments, plenty of stalls, a magician and much more.

A walk organised by Richard Scott of Walking To Health has also been organised to start in the morning.

To join in meet at the community centre at 10.30am. After getting a good dose of fresh air you’ll be brought back to the centre to enjoy the rest of the day.

The event has been jointly organised by members of the community centre and the Vulcan Residents’ and Tenants’ Association.

It follows on from the success of another fun day held recently on the Vulcan estate and a number of other well attended events at the community centre.

The fun day starts at midday and will finish around 4pm. Entry is free.

Roosegate Community Centre reopened this spring after a major refurbishment and is continuing to go from strength to strength.

Users now include groups such as Young Cumbria, an aerobics group and a dads’ club.
