BETWEEN them two retired teachers taught students in Millom for more than 35-years.
Ms Newbold said: “We are really pleased with our results.
“It has been really stressful and we have done a lot of work.
“We have enjoyed working with the other pupils, it is nice to work with them because they are young and they see things in a fresh way and we found that difficult at first.
“I would definitely recommend doing it to anyone who was thinking about it.
“The staff have been really supportive and I would like to thank the head of textiles, Val Townrow, she has been brilliant.”
Ms Newbold taught Religious Studies at Millom School from 1973 to 1979 before becoming a teacher at Ulverston Victoria High School.
Ms Troll taught at Millom School from 1959 before retiring in 1986.
