MEMBERS of the public can catch a glimpse of a major new development as new images are released showing what the new Moorside power plant might look like.

The images have been revealed ahead of an 11-week consultation programme which aims to enable people to find out more about the project.

They have been produced to show how different aspects of the power plant might look, including more views of the main site, transport hubs and associated developments.

More than 28 exhibitions have been scheduled between May and July to give people across Cumbria every opportunity to learn more.

Key dates include:

Tuesday June 14 - Askam - Community Centre, Duke Street.

Wednesday June 15 - Barrow - Rydal Room, The Forum.

Thursday June 16 - Broughton - Victory Hall, Station Road.

Wednesday July 13 - Millom - Pensioners' Hall, Mainsgate Road.

Thursday July 14 - Bootle - Millstones Business Centre.
