New Penrith home for Cumbrian Properties estate agency

A Cumbrian estate agency has moved into new premises – just along the street.

The Penrith branch of Cumbrian Properties, which sells, lets and auctions homes, has switched from Middlegate to nearby Corney Square.

The space was once occupied by Joseph Interiors but has undergone a complete revamp, as has the company’s website.

The independent firm says there will be none of the traditional estate agency materials covering the walls but more contemporary web-focussed material with advisers on hand to assist browsers.

Staff in Penrith include sales manager Karen McCarthy, who has worked in both Carlisle and Brampton, valuer Mel Reynolds, lettings negotiators Susan Nelson and Stephanie Holliday, with support from Trudi Doughty.

Adrian Hogarth, the director responsible for the Carlisle and Penrith offices, praised the local builders for the refurb which retains some original features as well as providing a bright modern office environment.

Three flats above the offices are also now on the market for £125,000 each.

The family-owned company, run by brothers Adrian and David, have offices throughout Cumbria.

David founded and runs Lakes Cottage Holidays, the holiday cottage arm of the enterprise.

Cumbrian Properties has shifted more than 80 properties this year through a new commercial arm, its auction department.
