National recognition for Carlisle dental lab
Last updated at 15:05, Wednesday, 09 May 2012
A Carlisle dental laboratory has secured national recognition as part of a campaign to promote better dental care.
Rosehill-based S+J have registered with the British Bite Mark, which was recently launched by the Dental Laboratories Association.
It is the first patient-focused campaign to include British dental laboratories who provide custom made dental appliances such as crowns, bridges, dentures and veneers to dental practices.
Steven Doran, owner of S+J said: “The British Bite Mark offers patients an easy to use tool to be certain that their custom made dental appliance is not only made in Britain, but also complies with the rules set by the General Dental Council and the Medicines Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.”
Dental laboratories like S+J that manufacture these appliances are legally required to employ qualified and registered dental technicians and use approved materials.
