A royal family of carnival helpers

THE Ulverston carnival parade made its way round the town’s streets on Saturday but the fancy dress costumes on show looked nothing like this.
This vintage picture looks to date from the 1920s and was kindly provided by Christine Sharp from Goadsbarrow.
Perhaps you can spot a relative among the carnival queen, her ladies-in-waiting or from the whole royal palace worth of liveried footmen, pages and crown bearers?
