Askam-born Kelly Sanderson, a 30-year-old sales executive at Playdale Playgrounds, married Rob Lindsay, a 31-year-old project manager at BAE, on Saturday September 2, 2016. The couple now live in Dalton with their one-year-old son Reuben.

How they met: On a night out in 2003.

Proposal: Rob put a slideshow of photos together showing lots of things the couple had done over the years then used a photo of Reuben that said 'mummy, will you marry my daddy?' while holding a ring.

Venue: Chequers Hotel, Dalton.

Theme: Woodland vintage.

Bride's outfit: A Ronald Joyce dress from Eternity by Nina, Barrow.

Groomsmen: Jamie Lindsay (best man and the groom’s brother), Neil Jones and Mark Trelore.

Page boys: Reuben Lindsay (couple's son), Jack Lindsay, Max Lindsay and Noah Kendall (the couple's nephews) who wore blue suits with tweed waistcoats hired from Mr Mister, Barrow.

Bridesmaids: Debbie Sanderson (maid of honour and the bride’s sister), Stacey-Anne Lindsay, Keeley Laisby, Lauren Walker and Rebecca Jones, who wore long, sage green dresses from Debut.

Flowers: Arranged by Emma at Efflorescence, Barrow. The bride held a bouquet of hand-tied posies in pale pastel colours with a wild feel. Over 50 jars filled with the same flowers decorated the tables and reception room along with tree trunks and slices of wood.

Transport: None required as the bridal party stayed at Chequers Hotel the night before.

Reception: The Chequers Hotel in the Pinfold Suite followed by a wedding breakfast and evening in the Castle Suite.

Table settings: A centrepiece made from a wooden tree trunk holding a jar filled with the same flowers as the bridal bouquets, surrounded by wooden slices and more jars, along with handmade cork place settings made by the bride, candles, book heart confetti and a "pass the parcel" for each table.

Favours: Heart-shaped Grasmere gingerbread in boxes decorated by the bride with lace and wooden hearts to match the theme of the wedding.

Cake: A cake made of cheese from the Courtyard Dairy, Settle.

First Dance: The Calling - Wherever You Will Go.

Entertainment: Betsie The Vintage Photobooth for polaroid pictures of guests, a Kavano Magician doing magic tricks and the band, Afterglow, played in the evening.

Honeymoon: A Mediterranean cruise.
