Proposal: James proposed during a city break to Brussels on Ashleigh’s birthday, June 7, in 2014.

Venue: Broadoaks Country House, Troutbeck.

Bride’s outfit: The bride wore an A-Line Maggie Sottero dress with a Swarovski crystal capulet from Marrime in Kendal.

Groomsmen: The groom’s childhood friend, Jack Haughian was best man and ushers were the bride’s brother, Liam Morley and the groom’s brother, Rob Prescott. They each wore navy tailored suits with lilac ties and pocket squares.

Bridesmaids: The bridesmaids were the bride’s close friends, Elaine Wickenden and Bridget Bjornson, and the groom’s sister, Lois Prescott. They each wore a different style dress from the Dessy range in the colour suede rose from Marsha Lea, Barrow. The flower girl was the groom’s three-year old niece, Darcey Prescott, who wore an ivory dress from Monsoon.

Flowers: The bride, bridesmaids and flower girl carried beautiful bouquets of peonies and roses, by Valerie Ann’s, Windermere.

Reception: A four-course wedding breakfast for 75 guests at Broadoaks Country House, joined by 50 extra guests for the evening celebration.

Favours: Lindt Chocolate Easter Bunnies, each with an individual name tag for the guest.

Cake: A white, three-tier round cake with lilac flowers and lace detail, with tiers of lemon and white chocolate, carrot cake and chocolate fudge, made by Donna at Corrs Cakes, Barrow.

First dance: Only Love by Ben Howard.

Entertainment: The bride and groom arranged a retro juke box, provided by SAPP Audio, Kendal, so guests could choose their own music. A photobooth for the evening was provided by Chris Hillman and the bride also arranged a sweet table.

Honeymoon: Las Vegas and Cancun, Mexico.
