LOVELY Kitty is a slightly timid tabby and white who, although new to the animal shelter she is now living in, has already won over her carers.

She was brought into care after spending time in a very good home but with three dogs who she was scared of.

Poor Kitty was also bullied by the neighbourhood cats.

She does love people and in her own forever home without other cats or dogs Animal Welfare, who are looking after her now, are confident Kitty will settle in and make a loving pet.

Kitty is aged around five and in very good health.

Peter has been in the Animal Welfare shelter in Rawlinson Street, Barrow, for quite a while now and could really do with being in his own home.

The charity is always honest about the animals in its care and is the first to admit that Peter is "difficult".

This beautiful big black and white has real attitude and needs to be left alone unless he seeks out attention or a person's company.

He is perfectly happy wandering around a home left to his own devices otherwise he gets annoyed.

Peter is a real character with a beautiful soft semi-long coat who seems fine with other cats but needs to be in a home which is child free and he is given room and understanding.

Thunder, a smaller tabby who has already featured in our Pet Stop pages, is reserved and quiet by nature, but likes people and just needs time to settle into a home.

Given time he is a moggy who would come out of his shell and be a loving pet.

The carers at animal charities always stress how difficult it can be for an animal when it comes into their care.

It is a shock to be in strange surroundings especially if they have come from a loving home.

It takes the majority of animals a while to adjust as apposed to those who have been homeless strays and they feel Thunder is one of them.

Yoyo has yet to be found the loving home he deserves.

This glossy black and white cat is so friendly and love attention from people.

This 18-month-old youngster is quite vocal and a real charmer.

He loves cuddles with people but is not too fond of his own kind so would need to be the only cat in his house.
