A FAMILY of well looked after cats are looking for homes after their owners could no longer keep them.

They have only just come into the Animal Welfare shelter and are still bewildered and in some cases scared about their change in circumstances.

The head of the family, mother Trixie, is a lovely coloured tabby aged around six years old.

She is scared and unsure of people but that is understandable and her carers in the shelter on Rawlinson Street, Barrow, are confident that allowed to settle in a new home she would make a lovely pet.

Trixie will be spayed by the charity before going to a new home.

Skye is the daughter of Trixie and although being nervous at the start, she is friendly and likes attention from people.

This three-year-old long-haired tortie is also quite vocal and a bit unhappy at being in a shelter and confined environment.

Although Skye and Trixie are daughter and mother they can be rehomed separately, but the charity would like them to go together if possible.

Brothers Carvo and Dalton are usually inseparable and are two scared young ginger cats.

As they are so close Animal Welfare is desperate to rehome them together.

They look the same and are both beautiful vibrant ginger coloured but unusually Dalton has a short tail while Carvo is long-tailed.

Both are sons of Trixie and aged two-and-a-half.

From a completely different family is the nervous but nice Simpson.

This big black and white male as a stray has been a bit of a fighter hence the scares on his nose, but now in a shelter he is scared and unsure of people.

He is healthy and now neutered.

After having to fend for himself out on the streets, Simpson deserves a loving home where he can be allowed to roam around without having to fight for his food.

Gus, another big black and white cat who was featured in last week's Pet Stop pages, is now thoroughly fed up being in care and not free to roam.

He is a loving cat who needs a home where he can go out into a safe garden and nose about in the fresh air.

Gus has a really nice nature and would make a wonderful pet.
