SPENDING months in a shelter and being constantly overlooked is no fun for any cat.

But that is exactly what poor Snowflake has been going through after coming into the care of Animal Welfare.

Although she is very well looked after, fed and kept in pristine health, she is still in a confined space which is hard for any cat.

In fact Snowflake came into the charity's shelter on April 14 at just four years old.

This friendly cat is just four years old and is pure white, but she does sometimes display a slight attitude, but her carers say this is not uncommon among the animals in their care.

Being kept in a small area can make them irritable and most calm down once they have settled into their permanent home.

They also know that Snowflake does not like other cats so she is not happy being surrounded by them.

She also does not like children.

Since coming into Animal Welfare's shelter Snowflake as been spayed, had her ears cleaned as they desperately needed it, her claws have been clipped and most importantly she has had a full dental.

This meant both scaling and polishing to allow her to eat well and without discomfort.

All this was paid for by Animal Welfare - they have a superb vet who gives them a discount.

Although most people understand why charities need a donation before the animals in their care can go to a permanent homes, maybe not everyone is aware of the time and effort put into making sure the pets leave them in the best possible condition.

Snowflake is a perfect example of this and Animal Welfare is desperate to get her her own forever home.

Dave is a really lovely friendly moggy who would make any cat lover happy to have around.

This black and white cat is just four years old and came back to Animal Welfare after his owner had to move and could not take him with him.

Dave was actually born in the home of an Animal Welfare carer and rehomed when he was old enough to leave his mother.

He has been very well looked after, is in perfect health and a friendly gentle cat.

He is another pet who really deserves a loving forever home.
