TOP stand-up comic and TV star Dara O'Briain will be bringing his latest tour to South Cumbria in the new year.

The host and star of BBC panel show Mock the Week visits Kendal Leisure Centre on Saturday February 9, 2019, to perform his Voice of Reason show.

One of the most recognisable faces on British TV, the Irishman also hosts shows such as Stargazing Live, Robot Wars and Dave's Go8Bit.

He goes back to his day job as a world class stand up comedian on this tour, which has been running throughout 2018. The master of audience interaction will be travelling the UK armed with his supersonic wit and provocative observations.

In his stand-up career, Dara has also previously released five classic stand-up DVDs, with Dara O'Briain Live at the Theatre Royal arriving in 2006, followed by the critically-acclaimed Dara O'Briain Talks Funny Live In London in 2008, This Is The Show in 2010, Craic Dealer in 2012 and Crowd Tickler in 2015, putting him among the biggest-selling stand-ups in the world.

In 2005, O'Briain's show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe was the best-selling solo comedy show of the festival, and five years later, he was voted the 16th greatest stand-up comic on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups.
