A WOMAN has been stabbed in Barrow today.
Police were called to an address in Low White Close, Ormsgill at around 8.52am today after a woman had been found stabbed outside an address.
On arrival they found a woman, believed to be in her 30s, with stab wounds and the North West Ambulance Service treated the woman before taking her to Furness General Hospital.
A spokeswoman for NWAS said she could not confirm the severity of the woman's injuries but the hospital had not been put on 'stand by' - a measure used for the most serious injuries.
Police confirmed the woman's injuries are not life threatening.
Armed police were at the scene along with CID officers and are investigating the incident.
Police have been looking for two people in relation to the incident this afternoon but stressed they do not pose a risk to the public.

Have your say
I hope the woman recovers quickly from her injuries and is not traumatised for the rest of her life. Carrying a knife is never ok, when you lose your temper the consequences are terrible.
Ploughman, oh I see.so people who aren't great spellers or use poor grammar, shouldn't be able to contribute or have an opinion?
