LISA Adele Johnson, 22, a hairdresser, and Joshua Aaron McCullough, 21, a welder, both of Ulverston, married at Aldingham Church, on August 11
How they met: The couple were childhood friends.
Proposal: The groom proposed on Christmas Eve 2008 after a whirlwind relationship of just four months.
Venue: The couple were married at Aldingham Church.
Theme: Purple and lilac.
Bride’s outfit: An Alfred Angelo “Cinderella” gown from the Disney Fairy Tale Bridal collection.
Groomsmen: The groom’s uncle David Evans was best man and the usher was the groom’s cousin, Elliot Roberts. They wore grey, tailored evening suits, from Mr Mister, in Barrow. The groom wore a purple waistcoat and the groomsmen wore lilac waistcoats.
Bridesmaids: The bride’s sister, Nicola Johnson, was chief bridesmaid. The bride and bridesmaid wore dresses from the Veromia Bridesmaid Collection, from Kiss The Bride, in Carnforth.
Flowers: The bride carried a bouquet of white carnations and an orchid from Deborah’s The Florist, in Barrow.
Transport: A vintage Mustang, owned by the father of the groom.
Reception: The Olde Mill, Bardsea.
Table settings: The tables were decorated with fish bowls filled with gerberas.
Favours: Guests received Kendal bon bons in handmade boxes.
Cake: A chocolate cake made by Carmen’s Cakes, in Ulverston, and a fruit cake made by a family friend. The bride’s godmother made sugar-craft flowers to decorate the cakes.
First dance: Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.
Entertainment: A DJ.
Honeymoon: A five-star cabin in the Yorkshire Dales.
