Mickey, a four-year-old Romanian street dog who is around the size of a corgi, went missing from Haverthwaite on Saturday, prompting a community-wide search.

He was found in a trap by a walker on Saturday morning.

Mickey's owner, Carol Hall, said: "It's fantastic to have him home. This week has been overwhelming."

Have your say

So very happy Mickey has been found and is safe. Congratulations to all.

What a happy ending. At first my blood ran cold when I read "caught in a trap". I had horrid visions of a snare.
Well done everyone
