Thieves raid safe in Barrow shop

DETECTIVES are investigating after thieves raided the safe of a Barrow shop.

Thieves broke in to Clinton Cards, in Portland Walk, Barrow, sometime between 6pm on Sunday and the early hours of Monday.
It is believed they used power tools to raid the safe in the shop and made off with a large quantity of cash and postage stamps.
Detectives said today they were unable to say how much cash had been stolen until a full stock take had been carried out.
Anyone with information, or who witnessed anything suspicious, is asked to phone Barrow CID on 101 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
