Police name man found in an Ulverston beck

Police have confirmed that the man who was found dead in a beck in Ulverston has been formally identified as local man, Aaran Sedgwick.

Mr Sedgwick, 23, of Beech Drive, Ulverston was found in a swollen beck close to a wooded area adjacent to Rake lane in Ulverston.

Along with members of the fire service and paramedics, police were called to the scene near Levy Bridge at around 5.15pm on Saturday.

Police are asking for anyone who may be able to assist them with their enquiries to call PC Steve Johnston at Ulverston Police Station on 101.

All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.

Never knew aaron that well, only to say hi to, always seemed such a genuine nice guy. I used to work with his brother and know his sister. Such a horrible piece of news, thought with all the family
