Police name 15-year-old found dead in South Cumbria woodland

POLICE have tonight named the 15-year-old girl who was found dead in an area of woodland in South Cumbria on Friday.
Officers have identified the teenager as Kendal girl, Helena Farrell, after this morning confirming that a body had been recovered near to the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal at around 10pm.
The youngster's family released a statement through the police, which said: "Helena Farrell, aged 15, the beautiful, loved and cherished daughter of Enda and Maria, and sister of Declan Farrell, died tragically on Friday night, January 4th, 2013."
A police spokeswoman added that the family requested privacy at this time and said further arrangements will be announced.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Miss Farrell's death, but are not treating it as suspicious at this time.
