Police investigate alleged Barrow assault

A 57-YEAR-OLD Barrow man suffered head injuries following an alleged assault when he left a pub.
The incident happened after the man had been drinking at the Washington Hotel pub in Risedale Road on December 15 at around 10.20pm.
Police said he was punched to the ground and kicked, causing swelling to his head and eyes.
The incident was only reported to police on Saturday (January 26).
Officers are appealing for anybody with information to contact PC Jennifer Lacey on 101.
