Police appeal for information after a burglary in Lindal

POLICE are looking to trace two men following a burglary in Lindal.

The incident occurred at around 11.30am today (Friday October 5) at a dwelling on Railway Terrace.

Police say a window was smashed at the rear of the property, and the female occupant disturbed a male intruder as he attempted to gain entry.

The man, described as being in his mid 20s with short, cropped mousey coloured hair, left on foot in an unknown direction.

He was said to be wearing a blue, possibly hooded, top and blue jogger style bottoms. He was also wearing an pair of orange safety gloves as he was taking the glass out of the window.

Witnesses have reported seeing two men in the area around 11.30am, one in a grey top and the other in a blue hooded top. One is described as being of large build and the other is described as being of medium build.

Anyone with any information about the men is asked to contact PC Edwards at Dalton Police Station on 101.
