Man remains in hospital after Barrow assault

Police continue to investigate after a man was allegedly attacked with a baseball bat in Duke Street on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old Barrow man underwent surgery and is still at the Preston Royal Infirmary, where police say his condition is improving.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Barrow CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
* A 23-year-old woman arrested on Thursday (July 19) in connection with the incident has been released on police bail until August 31. Detective Sergeant Mike Wallace said the investigation is continuing, and police are still apppealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.
