M6 fully reopen after death

The M6 has fully reopened after a man was hit by a car and died.

Lancashire police confirmed a man has died after an incident on the northbound carriageway just after Junction 31, at around 1:30pm.

North West Motorway police have said the M6 has fully reopened. 

Officers are were trying to identify the man who died, who is believed to be in his late 40’s and from the Preston area.
Once the investigation has been completed a file will be prepared and passed to the coroner.

Police have confirmed that the man who died was on the motorway carriageway and did not jump from a overhead bridge.
