HUNDREDS of shops and commercial premises in Barrow are set to benefit from a free revamp. Following on from the success of Barrow Borough Council’s shopfront scheme, which started in 2010, the council has pledged an extra £100,000 which will allow businesses to apply for grants of up to £2,000 to replace their shopfronts.
South Cumbrian towns and villages as well as areas of Barrow now have their own Facebook pages to help correspondents for our community pages stay in touch.
