Lauryn Stuart and Matthew Rogerson

BARROW couple Lauryn Stuart, 25, a counter assistant, and Matthew Rogerson, 34, an assembly technician at Expro, tied the knot on April 14 at Chequers in Dalton

How they met: The couple met after chatting on the internet.

Proposal: Matthew proposed to Lauryn on Christmas Day 2010.

Venue: Chequers Hotel, Dalton.

Theme: Electric blue and gold.

Bride’s Outfit: The bride bought her dress, an ivory sweetheart top gown with champagne gold detail, from Singapore.

Groomsmen: Page boys were the couple’s sons Tristan-Lee and Logan. Best man was Paul Bayman and the two ushers were the bride’s brother Craig and brother-in-law David Johnston. All wore suits from Mr Mister.

Bridesmaids: Maid of honour was the bride’s sister Niamh Stuart and the groom’s sister Jayne Johnston, and the bride’s two best friends Samantha Craig and Amanda Brown. The flower girls were the couple’s daughter Lexie and their niece Ava Johnston.

Flowers: Bouquets were by Dodd’s Florist and the bride’s bouquet featured thistles in the centre with cream mini gerberas and cream roses with blue diamantes around the outside. The bridesmaids’ bouquets had thistles in the centre with mini gerberas around the outside, all with gold bear grass looping over. The wrist corsages for the flower girls were on electric blue ribbon with a mini cream gerbera and gold wire.

Transport: Full stretch limo in white for the bride and bridesmaids and Austin Martin for the groom, supplied by David Johnston at Knightsbridge cars.

Reception: Chequers Hotel, Dalton.

Table setting: Fish bowls on mirror plates, with a blue rose, thistle and cala lilly with gold bear grass and a blue, gold and cream balloon out of the centre.

Favours: Homemade wine glass charms made by the bride, Grand National bet for a bottle of wine and heart-shaped mint imperials in a gold heart bag for adults. Children had a goodie bag also made by the bride.

Cake: Two square tiers and a round top tier made by Tracey Worthington at Bake and Bun. Bottom two tiers had blue ribbon with diamante buckle and three roses. Top tier had gold glitter initials and roses coming off the corner.

First Dance: I Swear by All-4-one.

Entertainment: In-house DJ.

Honeymoon: A few nights alone at Guys Thatched Hamlet, between Garstang and Preston.

Photographer: Jaime Fenton, a good friend of the family.

Videographer: David Hoyle, the boyfriend of the bride’s sister.
