Lakes to be showcased by Cumbrian businesses

A TEAM of leading tourism businesses will head to Birmingham for the Best of Britain and Ireland Show ahead of British Tourism Week 2012.
Representatives from Cumbria’s leading tourism businesses will be at the trade show, held in Birmingham’s NEC, promoting a whole range of things to see and do in the Lake District and Cumbria throughout 2012.
Best of Britain & Ireland Travel Trade Forum (BoBI) is the official travel trade event of the year. This essential industry showcase offers unrivalled business opportunities for exhibitors, trade visitors and VIP Hosted Buyers from overseas and the domestic market.
The Lake District is one of the UK’s most popular destinations, attracting an estimated 41 million visits every year.
For the Best of Britain and Ireland event 2012, dozens of the area’s top visitor attractions will be in attendance and can be found on stand A40.
Exhibitors on the Cumbria stand include Cumbria Tourism, Ullswater Steamers, Windermere Lake Cruises, The Lakeland Motor Museum, The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, The Rheged Centre in Penrith, K Village in Kendal, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway near Backbarrow, Dove Cottage in Grasmere, The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, Mountain Goat Ltd in Windermere and Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel.
