Icy conditions cause string of accidents in Ulverston and South Cumbria

ICY conditions caused a string of accidents across Ulverston and South Cumbria last night.

Police dealt with a number of road traffic collisions in the south of the county due to treacherous road conditions.

At 6.09pm, police were called following a two vehicle road traffic collision on the M6 northbound near Kendal.

Police were called at 6.21pm following a three vehicle road traffic collision on the A590 eastbound near Milnthorpe.

Police were called at 6.22pm following a one vehicle road traffic collision at Blawith, Ulverston

Police were called at 6.31pm following a two vehicle road traffic collision on the M6 southbound near Kendal.

Police were called at 6.34pm following a two vehicle road traffic collision at Lindale.

It is believed nobody sustained serious injuries in any of the five collisions.
