Haverigg prisoners in court for jail attack

TWO Haverigg prison inmates are in court today for an attack in a Cumbria prison.

Liam O’Reilly and Ashley Phelan will both appear before Furness Magistrates’ Court charged with assaulting Carl Lewis.

O’Reilly, 29, and Phelan, 24, are both facing assault charges and are inmates at HMP Haverigg.

Aaron Abbey, 23, of Livingston Avenue, Liverpool, will face a charge of wounding with intent on Carl Lewis.

All the offences are alleged to have taken place on June 30 last year.
