Greenodd roundabout plans shelved

SAFETY campaigners have reacted angrily to the news that plans to built a roundabout at a busy A590 junction have been scrapped.

The Highways Agency have said they will not be building a roundabout at the Greenodd junction of the A590.

In a letter to South Lakes MP Tim Farrow, the Highways Agency said they were not able to secure funding for the roundabout scheme.

put the phone down and look--simples been using that road for 37 years never an issue

thousands of vehicles pass this junction on a daily basis without incident. Yes there are accidents and sadly some fatalalities but it is not a specifically dangerous stretch of road
