'Great train robbery': Rail union protest at barrow train station
Last updated at 13:26, Thursday, 01 November 2012
UNION protesters spoke of their fears for the future of British railways at Barrow train station this morning.
Members of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) condemned the recommendations of the McNulty Rail Review, a report into cost cutting commissioned by the government.
The RMT claim the review could lead to increasing privatisation, rising ticket prices and job cuts to station staff.
The protesters stayed in the station between 6-9am urging passengers to demand action from their MPs.
