Get dressed up for some ballroom blitz
Published at 16:26, Thursday, 07 June 2012
SANCTUARY brings a brand-new 70s night to Barrow this weekend.
The Abbey Road venue’s downstairs bar room has been refitted with a new sound system and lights to make it the perfect setting for Ballroom Blitz – which will see a host of local DJs spinning the sounds of the 70s.
Fancy dress is encouraged, with a prize for the best dressed.
Music gets under way at 8pm.
The downstairs venue will also host a regular acoustic night on Thursdays, and an 80s and 90s night on a Friday, while the snooker room will become the town’s first purpose-built live band room.
