Paul was very loving and an extremely good friend to me, we spent 6 months together working at the pig and whistle in Cartmel and he was an amazing head chef and would do anything for everyone. I must say your article is one of the best I have found about Paul, as others have made more of a story of who went to save him than the fact that a man has gone through some tragic accident. So thank you very much for that, he deserves the greatest write up ever, an amazing man. And will be deeply missed by everyone.

Paul we miss you more then words could say and were thinking of you every day we all miss you so much brother even your two daughters Ebony and Amber miss you loads and hope you are found very soon there's so many questions that we don't understand about the night you got swept in the sea rip Paul we will always love you. I worked with paul at the owl and the pussycat 6 or 7 years ago, he trained me on my first week. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him, he was a hard worker and a good chef and father and we used ti have several heart to hearts as we were both having relationship dificulties at the time!i was so shocked to hear this news :( the world has lost a good guy, RIP mate

We where lucky to have been Paul's employers and close friends, Paul worked for myself and Wendy as Head Chef at The Pig and Whistle in Cartmel.
I gave Paul a chance,we are so glad that we did.He excelled in the Bistro and the locals soon took him into there hearts,"which is not easy",we have a one year old boy Charlie,and in general were a very close work force, with a very strong family ethic of working together an also as a team,which Paul fitted into very well,He was always very good with our son too.
Paul will be missed by all of his friends in Cartmel and his work colleges at the pig, some of which he became very close to,
So goodbye My-friend you will be missed

Paul worked at the Pig & Whistle in Cartmel as a Chef for 6mths last summer, he was hard working and well liked by all the staff and customers. This is truly a terrible thing to happen and our thoughts are with his family. Adam and Wendy

paul is one of the nicest guys i have had the privilege to know always putting his friends and family first, he always makes me laugh, i will miss him very much paul will always be in my heart and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and other friends.
