Emergency siren at Barrow's Centrica terminal

A SIREN was activated at Centrica's north terminal in Barrow this afternoon.

Workers assembled at muster stations at the terminals as the siren was heard across Barrow just before 2pm.

At 2.45pm, a spokeswoman for the company said the alarm's activation, had been investigated and was found to have been a false alarm.
