Dog Walker attacked in Barrow

A MAN was attacked by two out-of-control dogs while walking his own pet.

Police say the victim suffered minor injuries during the attack by two Staffordshire Bull Terriers at Ormsgill Reservoir, in Barrow.

The 61-year-old was walking his own dog around the reservoir on Friday when he encountered the other dogs - both not on a lead.

After the attack, the Staffies' owner, described as a white man in his 20s, managed to get the dogs under control before threatening the victim with violence and fleeing in the direction of Ormsgill.

Police are appealing for any one with information to contact Barrow police on 101.
