Cumbria police hunt gang who harassed a blind man in Barrow

Cumbria police are looking for a gang who harassed a blind man and stopped him walking up a Barrow street.

It happened on Marsh Street on Monday between 7.30pm and 8pm.

The male was walking between the bridge under Greengate Street and the caravan park with his German Shepherd dog. He was heading towards Crellin Street when his path was blocked. Police say they don’t know by how many but one male told him he wasn’t getting past as he was blind.

The man then had to walk back along Marsh Street to find an alternative route home.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may know who this gang are.

If you can help contact PC Eric McKinley at Barrow police station on 101.
