Cumbria people may have fallen victim to internet scam

POLICE are appealing for potential victims of internet fraudsters to come forward.
Detectives in Halifax say people in Cumbria could have fallen foul of the online scam.
They would like to speak to anyone who has tried to buy a vehicle from BCAV Solutions Ltd, based in Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge.
It is believed people across the country have paid money to the business, but not received the vehicle they were trying to purchase.
The company was declared bankrupt in 2011 following a police investigation that resulted in two people connected to it being charged with conspiracy to defraud. The two men - a 35-year-old from Littleborough, Lancashire, and a 42-year-old from Rochdale will appear before Calderdale Magistrates next week.
Anyone who believes they have been a victim of this company should contact DS Ross Wadsworth at Halifax CID on 101.
