Top price on the day realised 208.50ppkg for a marvellously well-fed 554kg Limousin heifer exhibited by W & M M Case & Sons, Plumpton Cottage, being purchased by N & S Rhodes Quality Butchers of Barrow. Top price steer reached 192.50ppkg for a well-shaped 746kg Aberdeen Angus steer shown by D C & M A Bowes, Priory Park, being purchased by T Postlethwaite & Co, Urswick. A much-improved entry of mainly leaner sorts met a similar trade to that of previous weeks. Top price on the day reached £89 for strong Texels shown by T Johnston, Rydan Barn, being purchased by Lancashire Direct.Ulverston held its annual evening show and sale of rams which was very kindly sponsored by Tynedale Farm Supplies.
