week 3
Tough night at the gym last night.
Nobody said this was going to be easy, but i've got to say that if you can get the right mind set it does make a massive difference. The diet is going well Dale lost 2lb's and i managed a nother 4 so that's the first stone for me gone. We are both hoping to lose around 2lb's a week from here on and i think we can do it.
Did a tough session at the gym with ann marie last night (monday) but i had no energy to do my 2000m on the rower so i dipped that but Dale did superbly and knocked more time off his best. I think the reason i struggled was because i had been to a party on sat night and had a massive hangover on sunday which carried over in to monday as well.Drank wine and soda at the party and was half drunk after 2 glasses if this carries on it will save me a fortune when i go out properly.
Dale managed to have a wee bit of apple pie and ice cream at the weekend, so you can indulge and still lose weight as long as your sensible. The big thing we are learning on this diet is that the food that we are eating is becoming more and more varied.Healthier option's are out there you just have to be open minded about it. The amount of fish i'm eating is unbelieveable as in the past i would of turned my nose up at it if hadn't of been yellow fish or battered fish from the chippie.
So i can say to any one out there who might be thinking of dieting get your mind set right and choose healthy eating option's, low GI food's are the way forward.
We are both enjoying this challenge and hope to raise around £500 for the oncology unit at FGH, the total pledged so far stand's at £280 so if you were thinking of sponsoring us plese don't hesitate and pop in the shop and sign the form.
